We recommend changing your reverse osmosis filters regularly to maintain pristine water quality and protect your reverse osmosis system’s health. You might want to set a reminder on your calendar for when you’re due for new filters. If you’d like to minimize the cost of new filters and have your filters delivered right to your door when they are due, no reminders necessary, then you may be interested in our Filter Subscription Program.

FILTER CHANGE DUE DATES

  • The pre- and post- filters are due to be changed at the same time every 6-12 months
  • The membrane is due to be changed once every 3-5 years
  • The pH alkaline filter (not on all systems) is due to be changed every 3-5 years

How often you need to change your filters depends on your household size and water usage. Replace the prefilter to protect the RO membrane from being destroyed by chlorine, and/or from plugging with sediments in your water supply if the water supply contains both chlorine and sediments. If the water has sediments only and no chlorine, the product water will be made slower as the prefilter collects the sediments.

FILTER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Changing your filters is simple with an EcoWater reverse osmosis system. Our filters are twist-on and twist-off.
